Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the position of Odisha Traffic Constable, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: The minimum Qualificat ion is requirement for passing the +2 Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board/University/Institution.
- Age Limit: Applicants must be between 21 to 38 years of age as of January 1, 2024. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.
Examination Plan and Pattern
Recruitment Stages:
- Preliminary Examination:
- If valid applications exceed 9000, a Preliminary Examination (MCQ) will be conducted either OMR or CBRE mode.
- Written Examination:
- In the Written Examination, candidates will be selected based on their performance in the Preliminary Examination, with up to 20 times the number of vacancies shortlisted. The exam, worth 85 marks, will include questions on Odia and English languages, Arithmetic, and General Knowledge at the +2 standard. Specifics will be announced on the website later.
- Physical Standard Measurement & Physical Test (Qualifying only):
Candidates will undergo physical measurements to ensure they meet the prescribed standards. The measurements include height, weight, and chest measurements for male candidates. Female candidates may have specific requirements for height and weight.
